Miguel Vasquez is a proud husband, father of nine, and a proven leader running for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in District 126. His life story is rooted in hard work, perseverance, and a deep commitment to family and community.
Raised in Berks County as the oldest of five children, Miguel learned early that nothing in life is guaranteed. With the guidance of his mother and grandmother, he developed the discipline and determination that would shape his future. Before graduating high school, Miguel made the difficult decision to leave school to support his newborn son—putting responsibility ahead of convenience.
He earned his GED while working full-time and later completed a degree in criminal justice, proving that it’s never too late to build a better future.
Miguel understands real-life struggles because he has lived them—balancing work, family, and financial challenges. Today, he is a successful real estate professional, a leader in the human services field, and a former school board member dedicated to improving outcomes for students and families.
In his professional career, Miguel has worked in public safety and human services, including roles in youth detention, federal service, and residential care. He currently serves in a leadership role supporting programs that help individuals and families live more independent and fulfilling lives.
Family is at the center of everything Miguel does. As the father of a large blended family—through marriage, adoption, and birth—he understands the importance of stability, opportunity, and strong communities.
Miguel stepped up to serve on his local school board to fight for better schools, support teachers, and create more opportunities for children. Now, he’s running for State Representative to continue that work—bringing common-sense leadership, accountability, and real-world experience to Harrisburg.
Miguel Vasquez isn’t a career politician—he’s someone who understands the challenges families face because he’s lived them. And he’s ready to fight for the people of District 126.
